Hi there,I've been leeching around here the past couple weeks and figured it was time to join the great community here. I've only gotten into rc planes three months ago and I've become hooked. So far I've gotten a .46 beaver, .46 Nextar, hangar 9 P51 mustang pts, and I'm about 20 hours into building the top flite spitfire. All of that in the past 3 months is a little quick but everything has been going great. I'm already planning a water bomber build after the spit. anyway thought I should say hello.

Hi ground_pilot
Have you learned to fly yet? I have seen many people just collect planes and never learn to fly. Most eventually drop out of this wonderful hobby without ever even learning to safely land a plane. Sad. To each his own.

Welcome ground_pilot.
I'm only on my second and third planes in about the same amount of time...I look forward to more pics of that beautiful flying area. A few pics of a bush J-3 Cub (or your Beaver) or similar would look really cool.

Bob, I wouldn't tell a guy with a view like that that we have anything that even resembles a mountain here in NC, rolling hills maybey[&o]
I've seen that picture of your back porch and yes it is beautiful but can't be compaired to 8-10,000 ft peeks

Hi ground_pilot
Glad to read you are on the right track. I usually only had one or two planes. Now I limit myself to 4. After I discovered building with Coroplast that is all I use. Planes are on the ugly side, if you choose to view them that way, but are tough as nails. See the SPAD forum below.

Man, I knew I shoulda made the drive up to Banff when I was in Calgary. All I can say is WOW! And I live in Denver.

Welcome to the (in)sanity. Just remember - crashing is NOT an inevitable result.
