Could not do my maiden flight

Hi,

I have bought a dynam 4Ch rc plane recently. Last Night i made all the adjustments so that I could go for my maiden flight today.

But when i took my plane to rc field, nothing was working. serve as well as motor.

At first when i use to switch on the transmitter and the connect the battery. ESC use to give 2 beeps and after that everything use to work fine.

But now, when i switch on the transmitter and connect the battery. Nothing happens, no beeps and no servo movement.

What could be the fault ?

Plz help

I would double-check all your connections and make sure all batteries are fully charged. There are many variables, but if you have someone you know that flies then have them look at it. If not, contact your local flying club and ask them for a name of someone that can assist. Most of the time it is something simple and they can help you out very quickly.

Hi chasni
Maybe a switch was left on and the battery is drained. I have done that many times. I use a volt meter to check things.

If all the connections are right then you probably have a bad battery. It doesn't happen much, but it does happen. If you have a meter you can check to see if the ESC is getting any voltage.

Is your throttle stick all the way down when
you plug in the battery ?

I have checked the battery ...it is fine and charged fully.....
my gut feeling says something is wrong with the receiver....
I will try to replace receiver and see what happens...

Is the Tx battery charged ?

You should hear one beep when you plug in the
esc at low throttle. Then raise the throttle to full,
should hear another beep. Now lower the throttle,
you should hear 2 beeps for a 2 cell battery,3 beeps for
a 3cell and 4 beeps for a 4 cell battery. Now the esc is armed
and the prop should move when you advance the throttle stick.

My bet is on the battery or esc. I doubt that the reciever Just quit..The ESC or battery though I could believe it. Is there any tension on the servos -like they may be powered up but not getting a signal?-BW

I am not getting any beeps from ESC for any position of throttle...
Tx batteries are charged and even the LED indicator is showing full battery on Tx.

The throttle stick has to be all the
way down when you plug in the battery/esc.

Throttle stick is all the way down....when i plug the battery..my Tx is also on before i plug the battery..

But i have noticed one thing...servos dont jump at all when i connect the battery...they use to jump a little when plugging the battery..

Get a 4.8 volt Reciever pack and plug it directly into the reciever and disconnect the ESC then you'll know if it is the reciever-BW

Is the crystal loose in the receiver?...Rog

If your using e BEC in the Esc, try bypassing
the Bec. Like BW said hook up a 4.8 battery
and try it again.

It might be the BEC - if it fries, you have no electrical power to anything. I agree with the above post - bypass the ESC.

If not, check the crystals on both the transmitter and receiver. If the servos were fine last night, and were centered when you last unplugged the battery, they might not jump when you turn it on.

Good luck

Is the radio a 2.4? It will not react if it is not bound properly

If the servos do not seem to "jump" as you noticed before, you may have one of the servo connectors in backwards, which is shorting out all of the servos and the receiver.

Check your connectors again.

Also the arming sequence ( as stated previously ) may also require that you set your trim ALL the way down for low throttle and all the way up for high throttle.

this manufacturer seems to use 72 mhz radio gear pick it up and slam it into the table then try.:D

Go work with a meter if you have one. Check your battery plug and then out from there until you find something with no voltage.

I think it may be the esc not arming, like others said make sure the throttle is all the way down, and turn your throttle trim all the way down.

As said, if it is 2.4 GHz system, then you might try to bind it again.
