digital servos
 
getting some spektrum DS 821 high torque digital servos and was wondering if there is anything special with setup on these?

No, there is no special setup for digital servos. But if this is your first time with digitals there are couple of things to keep in mind. First, digital servos can "hum" when they are sitting in the centered position and no commands going to them. This is absolutely normal and is nothing to worry about. Digital servos are always updating themselves to maintain the position given to them by the transmitter, and this will cause them to hum a little bit. Second, because they are always updating themselves they will use more power than a analog servo. So be prepared for a bigger draw on your batteries, meaning less run time than you got from your equivalent analog servos.

Make sure your control surfaces aren't binding. Thats should be a given but its even more important with digital servos.
