Mojo ARF?
Is there a Mojo 40 or 60 ARF available? I can only find it in a kit on their site, but on youtube I see "Mojo ARF" listed in many vids. Anyone have a link to where I can get an ARF version?

RE: Mojo ARF?
www.swanyshouse.com would be the source. I know they used to sell an ARF version but not sure if they do any more.
www.ohiomodelplanes.com and www.extremeflightrc.com both have some 3D profile ARF's too. |
RE: Mojo ARF?
the kit doesnt take long to build, maybe 20 hours from start to flyable plane
spend 30 min a day and before you know it the plane will be done |
RE: Mojo ARF?
I tried their site but didn't see ARF's anywhere. I hate kits because I suck at covering and they look bad in the end.

RE: Mojo ARF?
it took me 3 models to get to the point where i can cover and make it look good where i get comments on how it looks (as long as i hide certain parts :D )
the first one was horrible but it was so simple that i didnt really care, the second was better but far from good, the mojo, my third looks good for the most part but there are parts where you can tell i was having a bad time. the ultra sport im building is so much better than the rest their are no big screwups just little things which i will get better with time, the curves actually curve, instead of having like 10 patches cause i burned a hole in the monokote. my point is dont get pissed at the covering, at least you can say you built the plane, if an arf guy laughs at you. a kit builder will understand. get a heatgun and a covering iron. the heatgun is where its at, once you master the heatgun then your a good. the key with the iron is to not iron folds in the covering which cant be takes out by the heat gun. if the covering is just wavy the heatgun will take care of it but once covering folds over and irons to covering your screwed. some say you dont need a heatgun, well their wrong :D, idk how they would do it but i use my heatgun as much if not more than my iron the mojo isnt that hard to cover, just cover the fuse before you put it on the wing, then cover the wing. also stick to simple schemes until you get the hang of it, it makes it so much easier and you will get in the air faster sorry for the rant :D |
RE: Mojo ARF?
Yeah they quit making the MOJO ARF awhile back. I have heard they are really easy to build. I would love to take the time to do it someday but right now it is not for me. I bought the Extreme Flight Chinn Yak ARf and it is a blast to fly and super easy to assemble. It is a bit of a handful to fly though but I think that is why I like it so much.

RE: Mojo ARF?
The first kit I ever built/covered was a primo. The mojo is almost the same. Very, very easy to build. Plus it doesn't have to look but so good, you're gonna dork it in anyway.
<- mojo 60 built by Joker, covered by me. |
