RE: glider

easy to fly yes and very forgiving I was self taught using un powered and powered gliders its a great way to learn how to fly , however thermal soaring or chasing is a little more complicated and will take some practice

Good luck !

RE: glider

First question is do you already know how to fly?

The size of glider you're looking at is a little on the small side for thermaling, but may be able to thermal (it would help to know which glider you are talking about).

From my experience, a 2M glider is generally one of the easiest to learn with. They don't require a heavy duty hi-start, and with their light weight and wing area will thermal quite well with minimal lift.
