This is the plane I picked up that yard sale this morning. Does anyone have a clue as to what it is? The engine is made in the USA and appears to have a mag ignition. So I assume because the engine is made in the USA that it certainly and older engine. With a little TLC I think she'll fly!!

Thats a japanese sho-be saka****si. Just kidding I head that the other day and have been waiting for a chance to say it. That plane looks like a fun model to fly I like that type of profile. If you dont know the cc's I have had great success measuring the stroke through the sparkplug hole and the bore from the exhaust port. Cheap to fly at $3.50 a gallon plus the gas engines only run about 50-60% of the fuel flow of a nitro engine. With that short nose it may balance well with the heavy engine. good luck with it. I would have bought it also.

yeah I paid a whopping 20.00 for it!!! found out that it is a lanier stinger. Engine is either a G35, or a quantra 42. or so I been told. Yeah I love gas. Have a giant PT 19 with an SPE 26 in it.

The engine looks exactly like one I have. It appears to be either a U.S. Engines 35cc or a 41cc. They look almost the same from the outside, mine is on the front end of a giant Stinger. If it is a Stinger, it appears to have a modified canopy and vertical stabilizer. One way to tell if it is a Stinger (at least an kit built one) is to look in the fuselage. If the fuse is all constructed from light ply, chances are that it is a Stinger...

Nice find for $20.00!

Also, if it is a Stinger, it has had the ABS plastic turtledeck removed, fore and aft of the wing, to give it more of a 'stick' look
