Depends on how much time you have on your flying. Are you confident in your ability? Do you have a person to help you fly it the first couple of times? There are better second planes, but it's not the worst one I've seen for a second plane.
Go for it if you have a person with a "buddy box", or your person who trained you is close by.

lobeAza,

I didn't look to close at the rest of what's available to you, but you would probably be better off with a high wing, semi-semetrical wing, or maybe a mid winger. If nothing else, put a little more time on your trainer, then go for it. Just don't get to crazy with the aerobatics for a little while.

HAve you mastered your trainer well?
If yoo can do all the stuff with the trainer eg. loops, rolls, fly inverted...go for it.
i think it will be a good second plane if you are good at your trainer.
I think this star fun fly will fly well at low speeds as well because of the huge wingspan.Looks like it is a mid wing too.

thanks

i can do every possible thing with my trainer!!

what would be a good engine to get with this plane

what engine are you using in your trainer? Are you planning to get a new one or salvage it from your trainer?
Just my 1.5cents advice actually!...
I think the best 2 stroke would be a .46 or-.50.
4 stroke would be either a .52-.72.

Should be fine. It will fly faster than you are used to. Don't slow it down on final as much as you do with the trainer. Also on takeoff, don't horse it into the air. Lift it off and climb it slow. Take it up high and learn what it does at different speeds. You should be able to fly it, just don't try new stuff low till you are used to it.
