astro hog a good second plane?
I am a sixteen year old boy from Iowa. I am trying to learn how to fly with minimal damage. My H9 Alpha is good for now but I would like to get a plane to work on in the winter. I like the ratings for the Sig Astro Hog but wondered what previous users have to say about it? All input is greatly appreciated.

astro hog would make a great second plane . BUT you have to really build this plane (no laser cutting) so if you are not confident in your building a 4* or a mid star would make a better choice . the midwest starduster is a great first kit goes together like a big puzzle.

The hog is an excellent slow flying plane.
You will love it. I would recommend the 40 size version. |
Sizes of Hogs?
Does the Hog come in different sizes? I thought it only came in one size, and the sig site recomends a .45 - .60 engine.
Eventually, I must have one! It's been my favorite plane since I first started looking at RC planes (~15 years ago -- unfortunately i never finished my Kadet Senior, and found other things to occupy my time for 15 years) I'm still debating whether I want to tackle it as my second kit though (My first will be an LT-25... get spoiled right away by laser cut parts!) I'm afraid I'll be in for culture shock when I open the Hog box if the LT-25 is the only kit I build first... |
