NACA code for Ember 2
hi I am new to the group and RC flying. I would like to extend the wing of a Ember 2. How/where would I find the NACA code for Ember 2 wing? Thanks

RE: NACA code for Ember 2
I search the several site I use for foil data and come up empty handed! What A/C isd it used on, or is it for the Ember 2 foamie?

It is for the <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; ">it for the Ember 2 foamie. If I were to buy an extra set of wings and slice the cross section and measure the points, would it be possible to reverse engineer? Cheers Lighthouse2009</span>

Welcome to the RCU forums, lighthouse2009!
It seems to me that the airfoil of the model does not correspond to any of the NACA airfoils. Good reading about NACA numerical systems: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question...ls/q0041.shtml You can find many airfoils here: http://www.profili2.com/ (On-line airfoils) |
RE: NACA code for Ember 2
Not every wing uses a NACA design. You probably want to build some washout into an extended wing, anyway. Freehand it - it's not rocket science. ;-)
