Now there will be no living with Gene! it will go to his head LOL!!!! Gene is probably one of the most knowledgeable guys I have ever had the pleasure of talking to, he is also very witty and it pays to listen to him for sure. Way to go Grey Beard! :D I notice among this crowd I am pretty much a newbie, Guys like Gene are the type that get new young members and not only teach them how to fly, but also how to build an airplane right and tune an engine, the whole package, we need many more guys like him to encourage and help those who need it. We ALL need help sometimes, to me, this is what this hobby should be all about, helping each other and encouraging those who need it. Gene you are awesome.

Cliff, I didn't do anything that really went too far out of my way, just a dust and clean then a few test runs. What Campgems, Don, did for me was way out there. We do help each other out here a lot though and I have met some really great people over the years and am thankful for it. Don went so far as to build a complete pump for me then repaired the stock pump. He even opened up my engine and installed new bearings because of the junk I got from BOCA. He did the test run for me too. I only did a test run because I already stunk like glow fuel and had that castor slime already. Today I got the plane put back together with that engine and tomorrow I will be out flying it.
Two pumps and bearings, now that goes way beyond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is why you are a good guy, you just help people. Out here in CA people arent generally as helpful as you may remember... I help people if they ask for it but I never really go and see if they need help. maybe I should... I do offer it up if they want it and I enjoy helping people out as I think most people do. You are one of the good guys Gene! and it is good to recognise that once in awhile! I recall you telling me about your students and helping them out and it all adds up. I only wish people would let me help them out like you do! btw I started building an Astro Hog, it took awhile to get the kit and I have wanted one since 1983 when I saw 2 guys flying them around having alot of fun.
