Fellow Fliers, I admit that it's too late for me, however you still may have time to avoid being Hooked and just enjoy this sport/hobby like a sane person. So, take the time to read the below ( & contributors) to see if you have already FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST!,

1. Your won't open your trunk in front of strangers....
2. Your wife, Boss, or kids, can't find you on days when the wind is below 5mph!
3. The women you work with have never heard of your new cologne, "Old GLOW"
4. You get calls from your Local Hobby Shop to fill their BALSA orders!.
5. Your latest internet purchase box looks alot like those other two on the top shelf, HMMMM?
6. You maintain your neighbors lawns on both sides for e-flight events!
7. You have glued your fingers together some many times that you now wave like a Vulcan!
8. You own at least one item on every page of this months Model Airplane News!.
9. You think $250. is a great price for retracts, but $25. for a haircut is Robbery!
10. You always hold out hope for a surprise RC gift that never somes....

You sell your big screen TV to afford a new ARF cause when theres flying to do who needs a TV.

You have a large shed. You build a new model and there is nowhere to put it. (That's me.)

You start storing models in the bath room. (I have seen this one).

You discover an engine you did not even know you had. (Seen this too).

You die and it takes six months to catalogue all your planes. ( And this too.)

Your model fuel bill is higher than for your vehicle.

Your children start asking your wife who you are.

You realise that your supply of "kits to build" can never be built in your lifetime.

You start buying refrigerators and TV sets just for your shed.

The auto has to sit in the open so the new models have somewhere to live.

You have your best models in your living room.

Your electricity bill starts to grow because of all the batteries you charge.

I could go on .....

Are there diferent titles for those who recognize the problem and those that wont admit it?

Kind of like a Drunk and an Alcoholic are the same thing except Alcoholics go to meetings.

Lets see - a 3rd bay built on the garage of a new house to house an enclosed trailer (with ramp and side door) bought specifically to haul model planes, with 8' tall garage doors specifically to fit said trailer into any of said 3 bays (with 4" clearance to spare)......no I'm not hooked on RC planes, and no I don't need the 12 step program either.......:D

when you have planes stored in every room of your house, and a couple rc boats tucked away in the corner of the shop,plus a heli on the bedroom dresser. i have a great wife, doesn't seem to mind my hobby because she knows i don't have time to cheat on her otherwise, plus i fly an experimental 2 seat taildragger called an avid flyer, i keep that in the garage and trailer it back and forth to airport, live about half mile from there so its convenient and no hangar rent to pay
