Will this Fly?

OK, I know the wings are short and I have not added the tail or elevators to it but it weighs in a 6 lb. 2 oz and should be just right for the Saito 82.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif

Actually it'sjust a home brew test stand to break in a motor.
Made it from junk I had laying around and coated it to protect from fuel. The throttle linkage is a horn that I hold in place with a wide headed screw to it's a little tough to move so it will hold the throttle steady.
I will clamp it to a table so it won't take off http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f.../sad_smile.gif

I can't wait to get this motor on my Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 40.

Looks like a nice test stand.

Thanks, I like building things~I guess that's why I got into this hobby, again.
but it's been 30+ years since the last build.
I won't count my electric Slow Stick that I put together, despite the poorly translated instructions! http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif

Tell me about it! I've built two of those, and I didn't understand the directions any better the second time around!

Yes, when I got back in I wanted something cheap and something that would teach me the basics of electric and how the components went together.
I was going to build the Ultra Stick as an electric but I think I will reserve electric for the smaller planes.
To me, when you start hitting 60" of wingspan I want gas up front.
The batteries start getting too expensive for my retirement $ to have spares so I can keep flying.

Wait a minute now, those young students at Embry Riddle where I am a member of Casa De Aero tell me that aerodynamics come into play somewhere! http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f.../msn/72_72.gif

Yes, but if I had that up front I would have one heck of a problem balancing this thing!
