Dynam Hawk Sky and EZ Hawk

I am totally new to this sport, and have all but decided to start with a powered glider. I am impressed with the Dyman products such as the Hawk Sky and the EZ Hawk, but I would like to get some opinions here. Do you think thesemodels represent a good investment for a starter plane, or should I go straight to one of the much more costly powered gliders on the market. It certainly appeals to me to get a powered RTF gliderfor around ahundredbucks, butI know that you generally get what you pay for. On paper, the Dyman gliders actually have superior specs, considering the brushless motor and Lipo battery. Thanks for any thoughts.

Welcome to the RCU forums, Xtec!

Those planes are a perfectly fine starting point.

They are very similar to the Multiplex Easy Star, with which many pilots have learned.

I like the Hawk Sky and the pusher configuration. In minor crashes the motor and prop is not in the front of the plane to get damaged. The hawk Sky is a four channel with ailerons and rudder. It a decent soaring airplane too.
