i fly helicopters and was thinking i might buy my first plane. whats a good reliable beginner plane? im looking for something ready to fly out of the box as im not that serious yet. i'll be flying either over a soccer field or over my backyard so preferably something smaller and slower

haha Hobbyzone Super Cub is the way to go buddy.. go ahead and pick you up one and have a blast! I also recommend a simulator, if you're really going to get into the hobby it's a great thing to have, both for fun and especially for training... I think most will be fine getting the super cub and getting it in the air though! they're very gentle flyers, just make sure your first flight is in ZER0 to next to zero winds and your learning curve will be much easier

either one is perfect. I have flown the GWS slowstick and flies very well. I imagine the cub will also.
