Converting an Alpha 40 to a 2 blade prop

I purchased an Alpha 40 trainer made by Hanger 9 which comes with an Evolution .45 TPS engine setup for a 3 blade prop. It has been a great trainer but I was thinking of converting it to support 2 blade props to get a little more speed out of it, but I do not know how.
From the Evolution web page I can find the prop recommendations but I could use some help on the steps required in order to mount them
Should I remove the weighted fly wheel and replace it with a prop driver?
Do I need a prop adapter or just a different spinner?
What kind of spinner?
Etc…?

Any help would be great

Thank you,
Steven

You can knock the center out of the fly wheel weight and put it back on your engine. Try a 11x6 prop. You can use a 2 blade spinner or go get a dubro spinner nut instead. After putting every thing back together recheck your c.g. because of removing the weight up front.

I left the flywheel weight on mine and put on an 11x6 prop. This woke it up quite a bit.

I used a master airscrew 11x 5 - MA props are great for learning to fly as they don't break every time you have a prop strike. The 11x5 prop still gives some good braking for landing when it is brought to idle. I used a du bro 2 1/4 spinner.

Have fun.

I just removed the 3 blade Prop and installed a Master Air Screw 11x5. Works great and increases the speed and performance. I know some people don't like the fly wheel weight, but I have never removed it and the plane flew great until I had a servo failure and it ended up in a tree. Don't worry my servos were at least 3 years old os I wouldn't expect you to have any problems with servos unless you plane is older.
