Prop Problems
Hello. I usually just slap a prop on the engine if its in the size range. Thats not gonna work anymore. I have a senior telemaster, saito 91, I had a 14x8, the airplane went around real nice, but I never got full throttle. So I put a 14x6, and I got full power, but the airplane almost stalls if any lower the 3/4 throttle. The telemaster should float with the wing. I was thinking of going down to a 13x8, but going down from a 14x6 to a 13x8 will give me more pitch, but less diameter, soI'm not sure. Any suggestions/opinions on what to do?

RE: Prop Problems
Can you check the RPM at full throttle-something is wrong here. Your problem should be just the opposite-not being able to get it down. How much does the plane weigh. This plane should float forever at idle let alone 3/4.

RE: Prop Problems
Sounds as though you need to go back to your 14 X 8

RE: Prop Problems
Sounds a little like a CG problem. Or it could be your ailerons are both slightly up, happened to me. My PT-40 would drop like a stone at low speed, now it floats forever.

Hi!
15x4 or 15x6 is the best prop to use !!!! |

RE: Prop Problems
i have a Telemaster that used to use a OS SF61 with a 13x6 it was awesome....i slapped a 91 magnum 4 stroke and my prop of choice for that airframe was a 15x6 vess... the engine wasnt turning high rpm but it just felt right. For a trainer li wouldnt go over a pitch of 6

RE: Prop Problems
14x6 should be about right for that Saito or perhaps an APC 14x7. I'm perplexed at why a Telemaster would stall below 3/4 throttle with any .91 4-stroke up front. Have you tached the engine at all at full power and at idle? Something is strange here.
