Super tigre 90
Got a super tigre 90 from one of the guys at the field that's getting out of the hobby due to poor eyesight. I know it's way to big for the cub I'm putting together, so what plane would be a good fit for a 90 size two stroke?? yeah, another excuse for to buy another airframe:D

RE: Super tigre 90
It'll yank a 4-star or Tiger60 around with a little flair. I have one on an Astro Hog. Likes fuel.... Take your time tuning it and will be reliable.

RE: Super tigre 90
basically anything that calls for a 60 2 stroke...great motor by the way.... my 4 star liked a 14x6apc prop best

RE: Super tigre 90
I have a OS95 on my Big Stik 60. It flies great. I'd imagine the ST90 would work nicely as well.

RE: Super tigre 90
I had the ST 90 in a Four Star 60, loved it!

RE: Super tigre 90
A flying buddy of mine has the ST 90 on a U-Can-Do 60....loves it. It'll do anything he wants it to, and land like a feather.

RE: Super tigre 90
got one in a GP Extra 300S (called a "60-90 size") Just the right amount of power if you ask me ;-)

RE: Super tigre 90
I would second the choice of a Great Planes Big Stik 60.
I had a G90 in my first Big Stik, it flew wonderfully and had "unlimited vertical". That was, until I flew the plane into a pole. I bought another Stick and I will probably "maiden" it over the weekend. About the G90, many people try running them on high nitro fuel and have problems. While they can run well on high nitro, really they don't need it and will run very nicely on little or no nitro. Bye, Ian |
RE: Super tigre 90
The G90 has the case and intake of a .61, but with the bigger displacement. It's meant to add some extra torque to any .60 size airframe. So basically any aerobatic or speed oriented plane built for a .60 is a good choice.

RE: Super tigre 90
There are three versions of the Super Tiger 90
The oldest is the S90 It has a round sunken machined head and the front bearing housing is removable The S90K has a squarish four bolt head but the bottom of the crankcase is made like the S 90 with a removable front bearing housing The current G90 in both Italian and Chinese versions has thw Squarish head and a one piece crankcase. It have a bigger rear bearing than the other two. I had some G90's and I ran a APC 14 X 6 prop and they turned 11,000 rpm. |
