Simulating an Avistar on Real Flight G2 Light
Hi all,
I have come across a configuration using Real Flight G2 Light that reacts very much like a Hobbico Avistar with Hobbico's recommended throws. The PT 40 floats far to much to simulate the Avistar with any realism. It is a plane that is actually far more advanced than the Avistar, but with it reacts very much like the avistar with the recommended throws. Here is the best setup I have found so far. 1. Choose the Fun Fly airport 2. Choose the Space Walker Airplane 3. View > Pilot at fixed posistion > Set current posistion as pit area 4. View > Look at ground This plane has far more power than an Avistar with a O.S. .40 LA, it is perhaps more like the O.S. .46FX but if you trim it out to fly without loosing altitude at half throttle ( it seems to loose altitude fast otherwise) it feels and lands very much like the Avistar with the .40 LA I am only a three week old pilot, but this configuration feels very accurate to me. I hope this might help someone else as much as it has me. Cheers, |

I believe I saw an Avistar on Realflights web page under the download section(I believe someone modified the pt-40 to fly like the Avistar). Might want to check that out as well...

Yeah, I saw that. Unfortunatly the Light version does not allow you to import planes. I guess it's what I get for being cheap :)
