motor for GP electricub
I was wondering what speed 600 motors are a good match for a GP electricub. GP suggests their speed 600, but I've heard of people using magnetic mahem reversed motors too. (I'm only looking at brushed motors right now). If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate them. Also what gear drive ratio should I use for scale flight and runway takeoffs.
thanks, steven

The Magnetic Mayhem Reverse motor is a great value. It is rugged and inexpensive. Depending upon your prop size, a 3:1 ratio is close to what you need.
Tower Hobbies sells different pinion gears to change the ratio, if needed, from your stock gearbox. You might consider purchasing some when you buy the motor.
Prop your setup for about 22amps at full throttle. Your Cub will cruise around at half throttle when airborn.
The Astro Flight geared Cobalt motors are a more expensive brushed solution, but, they will last forever!
Good luck!
