Default Want Super Cobalt 400 BRUSHLESS Repalcement

I would like to replace the stock Super Cobalt 400 Motor that came with my Wattage Giles G-202 ARF. It comes with a 7x4 prop and I have 3 7-cell 1300SCR NiCD battery packs that I want to keep using.

I have my eye on the Astroflight 020 direct drive motor. Would this work?

Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,

Yes, the AF 020 motor will work for this setup in a direct drive configuration.

You may also want to look at the Mega 16/15/x series sold at Hobby Lobby and NE Sailplanes.

I'm using the Mega 16/15/7 direct drive in my Wattage Extra 330L with a 10x7 prop.

Good luck!

One more option for the domestic sources is the Aveox 2713/4. Nice motor with lots of power.

Hi Steve,

Such little is known about the applications for the various Aveox motor series. Perhaps you could help us out with some kind of summary on Axeox applications in a new thread.

I see that Diversity Model Aircraft (DMA) has picked up the Aveox line as well. This tells me that they must be quality motors. A comparison of model setups or motor equivalents would help to calibrate us.

Regards.
