Default A simple S400 prop question

I asked a LHS for a couple 4.75x4.75 APC props and handed them my credit card. When I got home, I discovered that I had been given 4.7x2.4 props. Since the packing said they were for S400s and I wanted to fly, I stuck one on my Speedy and went to the field. It flew well. Not as fast, but overall throttle repsonse was better. THE QUESTION IS: How does the prop change alter my current draw, everything else being constant?

Thanks!

The lower pitch reduces the current draw of the motor and reduces the speed of the plane.

I'm moving this thread to a more appropriate forum.

Regards.
