Motor and Prop Calculation Results
I am using "Estimate Electric Motor and Prop Combo" calculator - and don't fully understand the "Results" that I need to look at to ensure I have the correct Prop for my setup.
Is there a guide or key somewhere that helps explain all the "Results"?
Thanks

IMO the most important "result" is the amp draw.
You have to consider the amp rating for your motor and your esc.
A friend and I were setting up a new plane but didnt have the
perfect prop to run at WOT without exceeding the amp ratings for both
and we just adjusted the endpoints on the throttle to get the
amp draw we would like.
We were using a wattmeter not this program you have which is
an estimate anyhow. Also when I googled that program it brought
up this thread at another site http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1697573
Good luck!

I always run RPM and AMP test when I change anything on my plane. The deal is that I can run a wide range of props with my motor and ESC and stay well within the limits of both but I don't know which of the props is giving me the best performance. I have used a digital fishing scale to get a very "rough" estimate of thrust but that doesn't tell me if the flying speed will be optimum or not.
When using the Calculator it gives all types of information so I am trying to find someone who can analyze the data and explain it to me.

You may try sending a PM to a man on here that goes by Dr. Kiwi.
He seems to really know this stuff. I'm not to technical beyond amps
volts and watts. Is there any reason you wouldnt just fly it and experiment?
Anyhow, goodluck!
