Default motor mounting

hey guys newbie here with questions about the outrunner motors I'm building a plane that I want to put an electric motor on with the outrunner style does the shaft go threw the firewall and the prop get mounted to the motor case or what is the best configuration for the setup

On most the motor is mounted in front of the firewall. And yes the prop mounts to the case with an adapter.
