motor for 2.6m glider
Hi,
I have just recently purchased a kondor model products (ESM in Australia) 2.6m petrel. This is my first electric aircraft, so this is all new to me. Once up high, flying around is so much fun. It's the part of getting up there that makes me frustrated.
It currently has a 600 can motor, and I am running on 8 1700mAh cells. The climb is very difficult as it keeps stalling if I try to climb too steeply, and it seems to take forever to get to a reasonable height.
I want to upgrade the motor, but there are so many choices out there that I don't know where to start looking. Please help!!!
What motor/prop would you recommend?
Is brushless really worth the cost? I am considering going brushless, but there are so many brands to choose from (hacker, mega, kontronic), that I don't know which is suitable for my plane.
What is the best brushless motor out there? (if there is such a thing)
