Default c-20 question

I have a electrifly c-20 controller 22 amp rated current and 5-8 cell voltage. That would be 9.6 volts max, right? I just picked up a 3 cell lipo at 12.6 volts..... Has anyone ran a c-20 at 12.6 volts or am I just going to burn up my motor controller. Amps is no problem , just the voltage. Thanks for your input.

Default RE: c-20 question

A 3s Lipoly battery is nominally 11.1v, and most controllers seem to be okay with that. HOWEVER, if you are going to run 3s you really MUST get an ESC which is programmable for 9v LVC. That C-20 probably has ~5v cutoff and you'll ruin your pack if you let the cell voltage get below ~3v/cell. You need a Castle Creations Pixie 20P.

Cheers, Phil
