Slow Stick Motor mount
Anyone using a littlebirdz 3 degree offset motor mount on their slow stick ?
Does it really add flight stability ? I think it adds on to the fuselage length so does that make balancing a problem ?
Thanks
Ron

RE: Slow Stick Motor mount
I've been flying my SS with stock motor mount, just apply a little down elevator when motor is on - never had a problem flying it out out of the box (>400 flights, ~3 motors)

RE: Slow Stick Motor mount
Actually mabman, it doesn't add stability it corrects the tendancy of the plane to want to climb up and left at full throttle. Most times when you are flying slow and then speed up, you get a pitch up to the left and you end up trimming the plane to the right and down to compensate. The only problem is... when you pull the throttle back, the plane then turns right and wants to dive a little. The mount just makes the motor pull down and right so you don't have to add any trim into the radio. It flys the same at full throttle or no throttle with the mount. The mount does extend the motor about an inch forward, so you can move any weight you had in the front back a little. I just move the battery further back, but I fly with a Kokam 2070 pack... so it's pretty light to begin with. Hope this helps.
