Wattage Extra 330L What Motor?
I was wondering what motor(brushless) and gear box would be best for the Wattage Extra 330L? I'm using a LiPoly 3s1p Tanic 2200maH Battery.
I've tried Motocalc but these batteries and this plane are not in it
It's 200 Sq in
32 in wing span
and wieght is not determined yet. I don't have a scale.
Any help.

You can program the plane into Motocalc; you have all the vital statistics. Same goes for the battery, except you don't have all the vital statistics. They are available, though. In lieu of that, you can use other LiPoly cells to get an approximation.
Anyway, I just did up a power system for this same plane. The one I recommended was the AstroFlight 803G system, the Astro 020 brushless, 3.3:1 gearbox, and 25 Amp speed control. With a 10x7 prop and a 10-cell NiMH or 3S LiPoly, it should give you plenty of power. The system will handle an 11x7 prop if the battery can. Since these are Tanics, it's no problem.

I bought a Jetti Phasor 15/4 with the 7-4 prop and Jetti 30 speed control and the thing had unlimmited verticle. [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]
15K rpm @ 22.5 Amps
I switched to the Castle Creations Pheonix 25 and same RPM lowed the wieght mor than .5 oz and Current read 18.5 amps same Prop RPM. (15K)
Still flies great.
