Anyone have experience with mid wing engine mounting on a flying wing?
I built a coroplast flying wing and couldn't get it to balance without adding extreme amounts of weight so I decided to move the engine back to mid wing on the centerline right over where the CG is supposed to be. I cut a slot for the prop to travel through the wing. It balances now and seems to produce adequate thrust but I'm wondering if it will work? Anyone tried this before?

Will work OK but give it at least an inch of clearance on the front and the back of the prop as it cuts down on efficiency Quite a bit if it's to close. Try it the way it is, fly it, then cut it to see the difference. Just for an experiment.
