Channel 1 = ailerons
Channel 2 = elevator
Channel 3 = throttle
Channel 4 = rudder

If you have just a 3 channel radio, the rudder will be plugged into channel 1

Either interference, or else the batteries in the transmitter ran down. Do you have capacitors on the back of the motor?

That would be them. Try moving the ESC (speed controller) closer to the motor, and try to get the receiver (Rx) away from the ESC and the battery (and also away from the servos and their wiring - yes, I know the servos have to plug into the Rx). Make sure your transmitter (Tx) is charged up. Make sure you have the Rx antenna routed well away from any wiring inside the plane and also away from any metal parts.

Make sure the antenna is stretched out on the airplane. Make sure ALL batteries are fully charged.

Also try moving the transmitter away from the plane. Sometimes the signal from the transmitter can swamp the receiver, especially if you're standing right next to the plane with the antenna fully extended.

I hate to state the obvious, but be sure and have the transmitter on. If it is not on, the receiver will pick up random signals from the airways and freak out.
