Default Is my motor ok ?

I was desoldering the capacitors (one terminal was solders to the can) on a 300 geared motor did nt realize that the can of the motor got really hot during this operation. Does this mean my motor is damaged or not as good anymore. Thanks fnp

Default RE: Is my motor ok ?

Its probably fine, only one way to find out, power it up. You relly should watch the heat when soldering, its easy to smoke speed cotrolls this way. You can use a heat sink clamp to help on some applications
