Default New BIG AXI 5320 and 5330 series motors - anyone any news?

Hi

Has anyone any info on the above motors which are apparently due for release imminently?

Windings offered and rpm/V would be useful

*drool*

That's the kind of rig that'll make 1/3 scale aerobats practical.

Hi Guys

I phoned John Emms at www.puffinmodels.com today and got some gen on these motors. John has them on order, and they should be with him in 2-3 weeks.

Actual prices to follow when John has them, but they are amazingly competitive from what John said.

AXI 5320/28 Kv 249rpm/V typical props 21x14 with 8s, 18x12 with 10s.
AXI 5320/34 Kv 206rpm/V typical props 19x12 and 20x11 with 10s.

AXI 5330/18 Kv 259rpm/V typical props 19x21, 20x11, 20x13 with 10s
AXI 5530/24 Kv 197rpm/V typical props 23x10, 21x14 with 10s.

All these motors are supplied complete with propshaft adaptors for mounting them either way round, ie bulkhead mounted or front plate mounted.

The 5330/18 is the F3A motor good for 75A for 30secs, and has been flying all year in a Czech F3A competitor's model with no problems from what I gather. The magnets are positively located with a new glue used to secure them, so AXI are taking their image very seriously.

If anyone else has any specs on these motors, like Ri and Io, I'd be grateful if they'd post it.

My choice looks like the 5330/24 for a big, colourful aerobatic bipe [8D]

YES! IT's only a matter of time before they hit Hobby Lobby's shelves, then!

According to MM, hobby-lobby got a shipment of them last week or so. However, hobby-lobby will not comment about them until it is posted on their web.

Anyone actually using a 5330/18 on 10s Lipo? I've just taken delivery of one this morning.
