Default electrifly 30A esc arms backwards.

I'm having 2 problems with an Electrifly Brushed 30 Amp esc. Hope someone can figure this one out.
#1 I turn on Tx, install battery in plane, turn on power switch, Esc either doesn't light up or light is on very dim, no control or throttle functions. If I turn Tx off then back on, or turn Esc on then Tx, Esc lights up and works fine.
#2 To arm throttle you have to move stick on Tx to full, wait aprox 3 seconds then move to stop on Tx. per Esc instructions.
If I move the stick fast to full, wait, and fast to off, throttle only works on last half of stick travel.
If I move stick very slowly full/wait/off, works fine.
I'm using a Futaba 6 channel PPM/PCM TX.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
BJ

I had a similar experience with a new esc - different brand but same reverse arming. Finally realized I had the servo reverse switch on that channel engaged.

On that line, Esc info say's to reverse on Futaba radios. Will try opposite.
thanks

This is an older transmitter, right? It may not be operating within its normal specifications... Signal's a little weak... Signal's a little off frequency... These things happen as equipment ages. You may want to send the transmitter in to Futaba to be checked out.

Matt,
Not even 1 year old. May have 2 hrs of use on it.
Something else I should have mentioned, have 3 other Efly Esc's and 2 Castles
all work correctly with this TX
I'm begining to think Esc may be at fault?

If it arms backwards, just hit the reverse for the thottle channel on your radio...

Different ESCs use different control polarities... same with servos... no big deal... that's why there's servo reversing switches/settings on the TX.

The other behavior you describe is puzzling though... you may have a lemon...

That's the problem, channel 3 is reversed on TX.Maybe I'll just ship Esc back.

That's probably the most advisable course of action. When similar ESCs three work fine, but the fourth doesn't, it's generally not the transmitter.
