All motors make a noise, some different to others.
What type of noise is it?
It could be due to what it is attached to, for example my brushless motor is mounted on an aluminium motor mount and when it doesnt have a prop on it, it makes a really hight pitched whining type noise, which goes higher pitched as the throttle goes up. But thats not the motor itself thats the motor mount, due to EMF. (by the way you shouldnt really run a motor without a prop on it for an extended period of time, because it can over heat) anyway that whining sound emediatly goes away when i put the prop on. So have you got a prop on the motor? because that will change the noise it will make, it can also depend on what its mounted on.
