I purchased a Sig Kadet EP (Electric Power) 42. It came with a Speed 400 and Sig ESC and is mounted and run direct drive. I am not pleased with this set up and I'm planning to change to a brushless motor and speed control, with LIPO battery.
I purchased a Park 400 (E-Flite) 4200kv inrunner and E-Flite 20amp ESC with BEC.I didn't know enough to make a smart purchase evidently. I now find out this motor needs a gear box, it will not fit in the old motor mount configuration of the plane. I can probably make a mount that will work.
I want more power and longer flight time than the factory setup Speed 400 and ESC gives me. The planes flight weight (as per the spec's) is 26.2oz.
What motor setup will work best for this plane?
