Default brushless formosa help

I recently bought my first electric, a GWS Formosa. I am not pleased with the performance and i know it needs a brushless setup. can anyone suggest a brushless motor/esc for this plane that will not break my bank. I have two 1500ma 7.2v lipos that a friend gave me that i would like to continue to use. The plane weighs about 15oz as it is. any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Default RE: brushless formosa help

I flew my Formosa with a Himax 2025-4200 with 2S 1500 and 11x8 SF prop. Good increase over the stock set up. Nice verticle up to about 150, maybe 200 feet. After I wore those batteries out, I replaced them with 3S 2100 and propped to 10x8. This set up doesn't push the batteries hard and the Formosa goes verticle as long as you want

I am flying my formosa with a Cermark 2808/840 10x47 Gws prop and TP 1320 3 cell, awesome power, I'm rebuilding it now after a rough landing put a retract through the wing.
