Hi,
I have an Ultrafly brushless A/30/29 (UFLG1320) motor that I would like to put in a Parkzone Stryker.
What ESC do I need? 25amp?
Also what gearbox should I use? 5:1? 6:1?
How about the prop?
I will be using ThunderPower 3cell Lipo's 11.1V 2100mah.
Thank you in adavnce for any help.
Jay

The maximum continuous current rating on that motor is 16A according to Tower Hobbies. Provided you don't overload the motor, a 25A ESC is more than enough.
This motor has roughly the same Kv rating as a regular Speed 400 motor, meaning it could be dropped in directly in place of the stock motor on the Stryker, with the same prop. Since the Stryker is meant to be a fast plane, you won't want a gearbox, especially ones with such high ratios. They'll slow the plane down too much. Direct drive is the way to go.
My best estimate is a 5x5 APC or Graupner CAM prop, direct drive, with that TP2100 3S battery. You'll like it.

Thanks Matt, it's greatly appreciated. I am very new to this hobby, but I have had good control of the planes I fly so far. I want to have a nice fast and manuverable plane.
My other option is to put it in a GWS Formosa.
I'm not sure yet, I am gonna make this a winter project for next Spring.
