Hey Fellas, I am on my 4th gear for my Himax 2025 moter with the Himax gearbox it just keeps eating them,,I got a 3s lipo, CC25 and I was told to use a 12/6 slowffly prop....Then I was told to shim the gearbox with a piece of tape to get the meshing tighter, so I tried that and still stripped during flight. Should I just get a new gearbox or I do have the option of getting credit for this moter and get a HC28160890 from Himax which is a non geared moter...Any advice from you knowledable people would be Great..and Thanks a ton

I can't offer much in the way of advice; other than to say that I've read a lot of unfavorable reports about these g/b's. You may want to consider trying something else.

Is you CC25 on soft start? The best solution is to go with a Cobri gear box. They are bullit proof, almost silent and can handle 300 watts plus. It's the last gear box you'll ever buy. http://www.e-flightline.com/
