I've been trying like crazy to remove the shaft from a BP-12. I've taken the e-clip off the back the the shaft but can't get it out. I have a feeling it has something to do with this large nut in frint but I can't get it loose as it spins with the shaft. Can someone PLEASE help me figure this out? Pictures would be VERY helpful.

The shaft is just pressed into the hub. The outer bell pulls off with the shaft. It doesn't pull out easily because of the magnets, but it does pull out. Then the shaft has to be gently tapped out of the hub.
The nut holds the outer bell of the motor on the hub. It's not your problem.

Whats the next step???
I tried tapping on the shaft from the back but thats not doing any good. Do I have to get the nut off the front of the hub at this point? Do I need to hold that small oval looking thing inside the hub while turning the nut on the front?

why not bend the shaft back to strait? It looks like you could straiten it easy enough....I have witnessed my uncle nose one into the dirt really bad...bent it back right there in teh field in less than 2 min...he had it strait enough to fly just fine. It is worth a shot anyhow...stick your prop adapter back on with a good sturdy prop tweak it back.....or use your metric cresent wrench..lol.
good luck....if you gotta get it out..get a bigger hammer and tap tap tap tap. use a little heat if that doesnt work.

The nut is not holding the shaft. It's holding the part that holds the shaft. You do not need to get the nut off.
As I said before, the shaft is pressed in. It only needs to move a short distance before it will fall out. You should be able to tap it out with a hammer, but the motor bell has to be resting on a solid surface.
I would get the shaft partially straight, then drill a hole through a block of wood just bigger than the shaft. Drop the front end of the shaft into the hole so the nut is resting on the block, then tap the shaft out with a hammer.
Sometimes you can get lucky and straighten the shaft by eye, but most people don't have that good of an eye. Any noticeable wobble will rob power and ruin the motor in a short time. Replace the shaft.
