is there an esc that can do this?
i want to know if it is possible to get an ordinary power supply ( + and - dc) and attach it to an esc which can make a brushless motor run like that?
well if it can, where can i get it and how muc hwill it cost me?

run like what??
any brushless ESC plugs into the battery with positive and negative.....
Your posts are very difficult to understand[:@]

I think what you want to do is to run the motor without a battery?
It is possible as long as the power supply will deliver the proper current for the moter. (and voltage)
If you were running a small motor on the bench without out a prop then it will probably not pull too many amps.

What you are probably looking for is a laboratory power supply that with an adjustable voltage and high current capacity. These are NOT cheap. In fact, they can cost thousands of dollars.
A typical 12V power supply that we use to run our battery chargers can only supply 12V, and then at a limited current. It's not terribly useful for testing motors and ESCs unless you just want to see if the motor and ESC run.

im not talking about power..
this might make it easier to understand.
on a 4 ch heli, there a 2 wires which connect to the motor,.
can i take those 2 wires.,. plug them into some sort of esc which will make it run a brushless motor?

I think that is what he is asking....
I don't beleive so...
you need a brushed ESC for a brushed motor and a Brushless ESC for a Brushless motor.......

Your picture is wrong. The batt goes to the speed control first then to the brushless motor and the speed control plugs into the reciever in the throttle channel hope that helps

RE: is there an esc that can do this?
but if its a micro helli the esc and reciever are some times one unit.i think thats whats going on here.trying to run brushless without having to change every dang`ol thing. Mr.fist it is most unconventional for the battery to plug into the reciever.usualy the bat plugs into the esc and the lead wire that controls the esc also powers the reciever, and servos.what exactly are you working on.

Gee, if I wired my airplane like your picture, it would catch fire and that would be the end of that. Don't ask me how I know that.
Maybe nobody has answered your question because nobody can understand what the heck you are talking about.[]
Best I can figure from your picture you have an integrated receiver and ESC. If your current rig has an integrated receiver/ESC, and a brushed motor, then, no, there is no ESC available that will allow you to convert to a brushed motor using the schematic in your picture. However, it is still possible to upgrade to a brushless motor, but you'll also have to replace your receiver/ESC either with a receiver/ESC for brushless or separate receiver and ESC for brushless.

smoking, I believe you have it. I looked at the drawing again and was about to say it was all wrong. You don't run power from your receiver to your motor! So, as you say, he must have a combo rx/esc and NO it will not work. You have to buy a new rx and brushless ESC. Sorry.
The reason we don't know what you are talking about is because most of us have never seen a motor hooked up like that. You said NOTHING about the rx being a combo unit.

RE: is there an esc that can do this?
The answer to this is YES-sort of. If you have an Rcgroups act. go here.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=430386
It is an interface that uses a 4in1's (micro helis) speed control signal, and sends it to a brushless ESC. It will also work with RTFs like the Stryker. The only downside is you still need to buy a brushless ESC- but you can still use the stock Rx.For a microheli it ends up being cheaper because you can still use the gyro+receiver+mixer without having to go separates.
