need info on power/esc
I just finished building an "e-mini super hots" to match my super...28'' wingspan-scaled to exactly half the size of the super. I have installed what appears to be a 400 speed brushed motor for power (removed from a 9.6 volt black and decker drill...upon further research I will nail motor size down, hopefully)......what would be some good choices for battery packs and esc's??? I am new to electric flight and any info would be most appreciated!!
Thanks...Chris

RE: need info on power/esc
You might try this one is say it can flly planes up to 40 ounces.

I am using 2 Himax outrunners from here now and never had a problem yet. There is a higher kv motor that should work also but it would swing a smaller prop.

RE: need info on power/esc
the motor is covered..what about lipos and controllers?? The battery and esc technology has changed so much since I ran trucks back in the early 90's I don't have a clue as to where to start.......I'll post a pic of the plane later...maybe that will help.
For years I have had to make a trek out to the field to fly when the notion struck and now seeing all these very capable planes and having the freedom to fly just about anywhere has got me...I'm really looking forward to experiencing the fun in this new era of r/c
