.46 Glow power to electric ??
HI all,
IM interested in converting my .46 easy sport to electric power. I was just curious as to what precautions i should take and most of all:
What is the cheapest brushless setup? (not including battery)
I would really like this to happen and i would apprreciate any advice.

Hello Samalot,
You might take a look at our Power 46 motor here:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByC...odID=EFLM4046A
Its perfect for a variety of 40-46 sized models, using 12-16 NiCad/NiMH cells or 4S-5S LiPo packs. We've flown this motor quite a bit in a Hangar 9 Ultra Stick 40 using 4S LiPo packs (4200-6000mAh) as well as 14 cell 3300 NiMH packs (see the setups at the bottom of the page in the link above for more info) with a Castle Creations Phoenix 60 ESC and APC 13x8E prop:

Id also suggest taking a look at the manual as it has lots of great info regarding how to choose the right motor for your model, ESC/prop/batteries to use and more:

Thats a very good looking motor with a very attractive price. Here is the problem. I read the manual (rather skimmed through it), and i really dont understand all the calculations involved. Cna soemone please explain what you need to do to choose a motor, etc... IM a complete newb in the field of electrics and i will be interested in seeing what can be offered.

ITs the AXI 2826/08 motor. THey even gave a speed control combo pack costing only 210$!
