Chris,
Sorry but as they say there is an exception to every rule.
I recently bought a H9 80" Cub. Not the plug-n-play one but the one you have to assemble.
I had three problems to address and wrote to Horizon.
All could be fixed but I felt I hadn't received value for what I had paid.
They pretty much blew me off.
Responded to my first email with "well...send it back on your dime and we'll see if you're telling the truth" tone. No replys to further emails.
I wasn't looking for anything free.
Just an aknowlegement that I knew what I was talking about and maybe a $5 gift certificate toward the next purchase.
There's way too much competition out there for our modeling $$$.
I'll have to think long and hard before I spend my money with them again.
Just my opinion.
Glad your experience was different.

They have the "N" number on the top of the wrong wing...no big deal unless you know the difference.
The instrument panel fell off, they told me to go buy a $7 can of 3M 77.
The pushrod tube for the rudder is glued in crooked. It causes the pushrod to bind so badly that I don't think there is a servo made that would be able to center the rudder after being deflected. They told me to rub some soap on it.
I have a fix for all of these...just don't think for over $200 I should have to.
Thanks for asking!

I'm loving my e-flight brushless set ups I installed this past winter. Only problem I had this past week was a thunder power battery stopped accepeting a charge. It is the only battery in my arsenal of several dozen packs that has done this...it is also the only thunder power pack I own.

I broke the prop shaft on my E-flight Park 480 and then broke off an allen wrench inside a setscrew when trying to replace the shaft -- this effectively ruined the motor.

I boxed it up and sent it to Horizon Hobby services. I fully expected to get a bill for repairing the motor or a letter telling me it could not be repaired. I didn't get either. They sent me a new motor under warantee.
