Default Brushless pusher problem

Hi,

I just tested my new design, a 15oz delta wing with a small canard. I have a cheap brushless (JP Econ style) motor witch have been working great when mounted normally. In this plane, the motor is mounted as a pusher and on the otherwise successful maiden flight I started to hear a strange noice, so I landed the plane and to my surprise the magnets were halfway out of the casing... I have tried to figure out what happened, but I can´t see why the motor wouldn´t work as a pusher since there are nice ball bearings on both sides and the mechanical part of the motor was totally intact besides that the magnets had popped out. Does anyone have any experience with outrunners as pushers or have anyone had similar problems?

Default RE: Brushless pusher problem

I just tested the motor again after I made some small modifications to the motor. First I gently hammered all magnets back in to place, then I glued the magnets with CA and fiberglass enforced epoxy (time will tell if it is enough). After the flight the magnets had not moved so I hope they will stay inside the motor...
