esc great planes red light

Default esc great planes red light

I have an esc for the great planes super sportster electric with a speed 600 geared and brushed with 8 cells scr, the esc flashes, then goes out when its ready to start the motor, however, I cant always get it to stop flashing, what am I doing thats not in sequence.?? The esc has a manual on off switch

Great Planes ESCs generally require 2 seconds at zero throttle, followed by 2 seconds at full throttle, then 2 more seconds at zero throttle to arm. Is that the sequence you are following?
