Brushless Motor Timing ?
Iv'e just got my first brushless motor & ESC.
The instructions for the esc have programming options for the motor to change the timing of it between 2 degrees, 7 degrees, 15 degrees or 30 degrees.
I don't know what they are for, and obviously don't want to knacker my motor from not being set right.
Anyone have experience of these settings ?

RE: Brushless Motor Timing ?
My... I'm not sure, The only thing I know is that timing "hard" is for outrunners and "low" for inrunner/gearbox applications.
Sorry for not really helping you...

RE: Brushless Motor Timing ?
Hard/high timing for motors with more poles. Soft/low timing for few poles, 2-6 typically. But even with many poles the motor will run OK on soft timing, but hard timing can give some more power.
