Hi,
I just bought an ESC which was wrapped in black heat shrink... I was told that it was a Castle Creations Phoenix 25A, but I have another CC Phoenix25 which looks nothing like this one as far as layout goes. I was wondering if anyone out ther could tell me what ESC this is before I crash a plane running too many amps through it or something... is it even CC? If I did it right, the image should hopefully be attached

It sure do not look like mine CC 25`s look! They have 12 FET`s and yours have only six.
And I have never seen any CC`s with soldered-on bullets...

Well, I figure the bullets were soldered on by the previous owner.. but it seems to look so similar to a Thunderbird 18 and the quality of the PCB is decent enough (precise connections) that I figured it probably is CC or perhaps another decent brand.... I REALLY REALLY wish they labeled their circuit boards with a little brand/model symbol or something.
So anyone got any other guesses as to what this is?
Thanks

Could this be some E-FLITE esc? It seems quite similar to an E-FLite 20a ...but i'm not sure what one of those looks like with the jacket off.

Does look a lot like my busted E-flite 20A esc, BUT the 2 capacitors are in towards the middle of the board on mine IIRC.

Yes, unfortunately I did pay for it
.. and probably more than it's worth. I took a look at some e-flites but this doesn't seem to totally match one of those either (caps are in the wrong place) ....i can't beleive nobody on here recognizes it :-p ....it would really help knowing what it is though.. so I can at least program it and put it to some use if I can find the correct manual online or some such.
thanks everyone

wow, sorry to hear that. if you can return it, do it.
If you can't return it, get it on a wattmeter and a temp gun and do some extensive testing on the bench before you put it in the air. Who knows what power the bec on this thing can handle etc...
