I have a towerpro bmc 30 a esc fitted to a Arc 400 . it is the esc model with the jumper connection. if i set it with no brake[2 beeps] when i throttle up[ no matter how slowly] the tail rotates hard to the right then stops ,when i presume, the tail rotor catches up and stops the spin.
is this common to this esc?

Sounds like an issue with your gyro, if this is a helicopter.

no not gyro issue [ yes it is a hele] if i increase revs with the throttle trim slide then it does not happen.
so sequence goes
ncrease revs with slide to avoid the violent 180 degtee spin
open up throttle till it catches the revs set by the side
shut slide back to zero offset

this works ok but a pain in the a**e and it is as if there is no soft start with this towerpro 30 amp esc version one with jumper lead.
