Default Goldberg Electra

I have a Goldberg Electra with the 550 brushed motor and a 30A brushed
ESC being run on a 6 cell car style battery (as per the instructions). I would like to plug in my 11.1v
lipo to reduce weight .... will this work or will it fry my ESC or motor?

Unless you change the gearing and/or prop you will be in deep trouble. Even if the motor can cope with 11.1v, you need to choose the correct combo to keep the amp draw/watts-in within the 550's limits.

Yup. Youll toast the motor or controller or both. Try a 7.4V LiPo
