hi, first post!!
i have a general question reguarding brushless motor speed controllers. is it possible to use one without the reciever? could you ,for example, put a pot inbetween signal and ground to control the speed of the motor? ive seen a couple cheap ones on ebay id like to experiment with, and i dont want to build my own 3 phase converter. thanks

That won't work because the speed is controlled by a pulse train from the receiver. There are several servo testers that will do it however. One from Astroflight for $19.95 that works fine.
