I have recently purchased a complete esc/receiver/servo/transmitter set up out of a flying Parkzone Focke-Wulf 190 and am having some motor problems. The motor will not run until you advance the throttle half way and then slightly past half way the engine stops running. I am using a 8.4v 730 mah Ni-Mh battery, a GWS EPS-350c motor with a 3.75:1 drive, 10 x 6.5 prop. The servos function properly and I have the jumpers set for a Ni-Mh battery. I have only bench tested this combo and have only been running the motor for a max of about 10 seconds at a time. I hooked the battery straight to the motor and it runs fine. This combo, if it ever works, will go into a scratch built park flyer weighing under a pound. I did serch the forums before posting and came up empty. Any thoughs? Thanks

The ESC may need to be reprogrammed for the min. and max. throttle after hooking up the new motor. If that ESC has that function. If you do not have instructions, you may want to try this, set your TX and zero/min. throttle, plug in the battery, then move the stick to max. throttle and back down again so the ESC memory recongnizes the range of travel on the throttle stick. Of course hold on to the plane when you do this [:-]

Is this the motor? It is only rated at 6volts. And you are using a 8.4 volt battery. I don't know if that is enough to cause problems, but it might be??

I posted the prop size incorrectly, it is a EP-9070. I've taken a look at the instructions, and the esc is not programable and it does not have the a trim adjustment for the throttle on the tx. I did turn it on and go full throttle and back to zero and still no luck. I will try a different battery. Thanks for the help!
